We will be launching a series of Top Tips over the coming months to help you with the sales process.
Our first top tip surrounds the interior of your home and it’s colour palette. When viewing your property, calming paint colours help to make your potential buyers feel relaxed and secure. Therefore, it is important to consider the colour of your walls when putting your house on the market.
Another way in which you can help to make your buyers feel reassured is by making sure your property is clean and tidy. It may seem a simple and obvious thing to do, but it is important to make a good first impression. If you have any outstanding maintenance to do to your property that is visible, it is important to complete this before viewings commence to reassure your potential buyers that there is nothing to worry about regarding the property.
It is also important to make sure the property has been aired out, so open all your windows and get rid of any unwanted odours and to make the space breathable. And to make sure the space feels light and airy. You can do this by making sure that all of the blinds and curtains are open in the property. It is also recommended to turn off any main lights within the property, if the viewing takes place in the middle of the day, to give a great first impression.
We hope you have found this Top Tip useful, and if you would like further, personalised advice, you can ask a member of our team on the valuation of your property.
