Pubs and Bars with Outdoor Seating Areas in Newcastle

A look at some of the popular pubs and bars in and around Newcastle that may be opening soon, once certain covid restrictions are lifted.

It’s incredible to think that it has been over a year now since the UK was put into lockdown for the first time due to the covid-19 pandemic. Thankfully, there seems to finally be a light at the end of the tunnel, particularly for the hospitality industry, which hasn’t been able to operate at any capacity whatsoever for such a long time. The UK government announced plans for pubs and bars with outdoor seating to be able to open from the 12th of April.

So, to get you prepared and in the spirit to enjoy a drink in the sunshine, we’ve come up with a list of bars and pubs in Newcastle that could be opening their beer gardens to us come the 12th of April!

The Tyne Bar

The Quayside is one of the best areas to visit for pubs, bars and socialising in the sun, and one of the most popular establishments is The Tyne Bar. Located right on the waterside, The Tyne Bar has multiple outdoor seating areas, including a garden sheltered by the arch of a road bridge.

If you’re into live music, The Tyne Bar is a great option – with many bands, DJs and singers performing on the stage in the garden area.

The Bridge Tavern

The Bridge Tavern is a unique gastropub located underneath the Tyne Bridge which serves a range of food and drinks. It also has a brilliant outdoor rooftop area which is perfect for eating and drinking in the sun. Passing Clouds
