Getting Things Moving Again

All of our offices are open for business as usual and special measures have been put in place, in accordance with the government's COVID-19 guidelines, to ensure the health and safety of our customers, tenants and staff.

The past few months have been very challenging for individuals and businesses alike, but a semblance of normality has now returned as a result of government restrictions slowly being lifted. It’s great that more businesses are now back open, but minimising the spread of the coronavirus remains the priority.

So with this in mind, we would like to take this opportunity to share details of how Pat Robson & Co is adapting and making changes to our operations post-lockdown.

All of our offices are open for business as usual, after the UK Government announced that more types of businesses could begin operating again from the 1st June 2020. Of course, as with every type of operation, certain measures have been put in place to ensure the health and safety of our customers, tenants and staff.

Can I view a Property or Allow Viewings in My Own Property?

Property viewings made by a prior appointment are allowed. However, in the instance whereby an existing tenant is self-isolating or showing symptoms of the coronavirus, then of course, a viewing will have to be delayed until it’s safe to take place.

A member of our team will be there, as always, to accompany prospective tenants when viewing a property they are interested in. However, to keep inline with government recommendations, we suggest that viewing parties consider the number of people present in their group, so that social distancing guidelines can be followed as effectively as possible.

Homeowners are encouraged to vacate their property during a viewing and to keep all internal doors open whilst it takes place. Hand washing facilities and new or disposable towels should also be provided where possible, and surfaces, including door handles, should be cleaned with regular house cleaning products once the viewing has concluded.

If you would like to arrange a viewing, please call us on 0191 209 0100 or click the ‘Request a Viewing’ button on the individual page of the property you are interested in

More details of the government advice related to property viewings can be found here: https://www.gov.uk

Virtual (video) Property Viewings

One thing we all have learned over the past few months is how effective technology is, when it comes to staying connected, especially during a time when keeping a distance from most other people has been the number one rule to follow.

Many of you may have embraced video services such as ‘Zoom’ for the first time or reactivated your Skype account in order to connect with loved ones or work colleagues during the lockdown. Video definitely beats a standard voice call, that’s for sure! When it comes to property viewings, using videos to effectively provide prospective tenants or buyers with a visual experience of the property they are interested in is something we at Pat Robson & Co have employed for a long time. But during this present time, virtual viewings are even more useful and you will be pleased to learn that video tours are available for most of the properties in our portfolio.

Please get in touch if there’s a property you are interested in, to see if there is a virtual tour available.
