Expanding Our Electric Vehicle Fleet at Pat Robson & Co.
Following the celebration of our 27th year in business in 2025, Pat Robson & Co. has taken another significant step toward achieving our sustainability goals by expanding our electric vehicle fleet and progressively phasing out combustion engine vehicles.
This initiative reflects our ongoing commitment to reducing our environmental impact and becoming a leader in sustainability within the property industry.
We’ve progressively expanded our electric vehicle initiative, starting with three original electric vehicles, then adding two Renault Megane E-Tech models, and now welcoming another Renault Megane E-Tech to the fleet. With this latest addition, we now maintain six electric vehicles in service across our operations in Newcastle upon Tyne and surrounding areas.

Beyond the environmental benefits, the larger electric fleet has proven to be a good business decision. These vehicles offer lower running costs, reduced maintenance requirements, and exemption from various charges and taxes applicable to traditional fuel vehicles. The team have reported positive experiences with the electric vehicles, noting their smooth driving in comparison to previous vehicles.
The transition to an all-electric fleet aligns with Pat Robson & Co.’s sustainability plan, which is also reflected in our recent digital transformation, including a comprehensive website overhaul and expanded social media presence. These updates not only refresh our brand presence from our prime Jesmond high street office location but incorporate our environmental commitments through digital solutions, complementing other initiatives such as improvements to office energy efficiency, paperless processes, and eco-friendly property management practices.
